Friday, August 14
Beres Hammond

On opening night, the MIRF is thrilled to present one of the most well-known and loved voice of contemporary reggae, Mr Beres Hammond. For his latest visit in 2011, Beres kept the Montreal crowd in rapture with a brilliant set under heavy rains, on closing night. His huge catalog of more than 25 albums and countless hit singles make him one of the most popular artists on the international circuit, making this an outstanding opening night for the 12th edition!

Saturday, August 15
Lady Saw

On top of her game for the past 20 years, the “Queen of Dancehall” has paved the way for a whole new generation of Jamaican female singers. Her last MIRF performance dates back to 2010, but her stage presence and outstanding live performances are always as memorable!

Shabba Ranks
And for the very first time, the MIRF proudly presents the most popular and prolific Dancehall artist of the 90’s, the legendary Shabba Ranks, who will be closing Saturday night’s line-up! The Emperor of Dancehall, also known as the Double Grammy Kid will be performing his most recent hits, as well as the songs that made him an international star, such as Mr Lover Man, Twice My Age, Trailer Load A Girls or Housecall, after about 15 years away from the international stage. An absolute must!

Sunday, August 16
Cocoa Tea

Two years ago, all MIRF participants agreed on one single point: Cocoa Tea‘s breathtaking performance, on the Sunday night literally stole the show of in 2013! Back by popular and demand, the sweet-voiced singer will be back at the Old Port for another incredible performance, which will include doing all his greatest hits from the mid 80’s to today’s!
