Junior Fearon, who hails from the Jamaican north eastern parish of St. Mary, began singing at a very young age. He always knew he had the talent, but realized his budding potential at a community event, where he gave a surprisingly impressive performance.
Coming from a family of educators, he was encouraged to pursue his academics which he did, and eventually graduated from the University of the West Indies with a degree in Chemistry and Business Management.
Junior Fearon’s musical journey officially started in the year 2000. In the early part of the journey he entered several music competitions; a couple worth mentioning are: Irie FM’s Big Break and JCDC popular song competition. He was fortunate to be a finalist in both. Over the years he has done work with credible music producers like Bobby Digital, Jermaine Forde and Grub Cooper; and that is just to name a few. One of his most popular song to date is “Lotta Love,” which was released in 2004. Currently, Junior Fearon is working with MJHmusik on a few singles with an upcoming album to follow.
After years of preparation, Junior Fearon has emerged as a formidable singer / songwriter in the music industry. Although most of his songs are rooted in reggae, he has admitted that he is a lover of all genres. That being said, he feels that his music should not only be entertaining but it should also convey messages of love and hope, while simultaneously addressing social injustice.
With his determination and talent, there is no doubt that Junior Fearon will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future as he continues on his musical journey.
