On Friday, December 11th, the 15th staging of what is arguably the biggest annual gospel concert in the world, ‘The Experience,’ will take place, albeit in a virtual format. The event that has consistently attracted approximately one million worshippers to the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, Nigeria, will for the first time be accessible to a global audience by way of Periscope, YouTube, Facebook and the House on the Rock’s official website.
Though they will not be gathering in person, the organizers still went all out to ensure that viewers will indeed have a true Christ-like Experience. That being said, they have invited only the best gospel ministers from around the world to fellowship with them.
Leading the charge for the Caribbean is one of Jamaica’s most captivating worshipper, Chevelle Franklyn, who gave a stellar performance at the event in 2017. From the United States they have called on Tasha Cobbs, Don Moen, Travis Greene, Donnie McClurkin and Maverick City. African performers include: Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, Eben, Ada, Nokwe the Poet and several others.
All in all, persons intending on tuning in will indeed have an ‘Experience.’ The Event, which will be hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin – senior pastor of House On The Rock – is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM GMT / 3:00 PM EST. In addition to streaming online, it will also air on both DS TV (channel 198) and GO TV (channel 29) in Nigeria.
