On November 20th, Yemi Alade, the reigning queen of afro-pop music, released a stunning fifteen-track album titled “Empress.” The project features several collaborations: Vegedream, Dadju, Patoranking, Rudeboy, Estelle and the Mzansi Youth Choir.
Earlier today (December 23rd) she uploaded the official video for “Deceive,” which is the track done with Rudeboy. The very comical visuals is somewhat similar to her 2014 clip for “Johnny” – a video that has 126,165,448 views and counting.
“Deceive” starts off in the office of a couples therapist, who by the way have been married seven times herself. Yemi and her husband Rudeboy is getting counselling for their troubled relationship. As they speak to the therapist – played by popular Nigerian comedian Funke Akindele – clips of their very contentious marriage are displayed. Click here or on the image above to watch it.
