Two Caribbean genres – dancehall and soca – will be on full display on Saturday, February 19th at Main Street Armory (900 E Main Street) in Rochester, New York.
The event, dubbed Dancehall vs Soca Unplugged, will see performances from two of the industry’s biggest artists representing their respective musical styles. Mavado, the Jamaican deejay, will represent dancehall; while Bunji Garlin the Trinidadian sinjay, will be the face and voice of soca.
Early bird tickets, which are now available online, are going for $50 USD. Interested persons should know that there is a limit of four passes per order.
