King Jazzy‘s Choppa Life, released in early October of 2021, has now made its way to the top-ten on what is considered to be one of the most credible dancehall charts in the reggae-dancehall industry: Richie B’s.
In early December the song was added, and has since been slowly climbing; getting ahead of more prominent tracks like: Busy Signal‘s Wah Gwan Mad Head, Bounty Killer‘s Dat’s Gadzilla, Cham & Spice‘s Condensed Milk; to name a few.
Unfortunately the phrase Choppa Life carries a negative connotation. However, on his song, King Jazzy elaborates on the hard work he’s done over the years, while expressing gratitude for his current lot in life.
In addition to being a full-time recording artist and producer, King Jazzy is also a video director who runs his own production company: Electric Sticky. What’s more, outside of music he has created two cannabis dispensary brands in Michigan (U.S.A).
