Guitar legend Ernie Ranglin and famed saxophonist Dean Fraser have collaborated on an instrumental album titled Two Colors. The twelve-track project, which was produced by Dean Fraser and Tad ‘Jr. Tads’ Dawkins, will be released on May 27th by Tad’s International Record – the Jamaica music label that’s committed to delivering the ultimate reggae experience.
Two Colors‘ lead single, De Ranglin, went live on all digital streaming platforms on April 22nd. The pulsing reggae-dub track was complimented by the very distinguished vocals of the one and only Big Youth, another legend in his own right.
The combination of Ernie Ranglin and Dean Fraser is special for many reasons; the most noteworthy being that they have both worked with some of the greatest reggae artists and producers that’s ever lived; this includes reggae giants Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff.
Ever since the word got out that Ernie and Dean will be publishing a record together the news begun to reverberate throughout the industry. Needless to say this album is now on many peoples ‘highly anticipated list’; and it went up higher after the first single – De Ranglin – came out.
