Dancehall artist Tanya Stephens will be heading to St. Maarten this weekend. She is booked to perform at Thirty-Seven Twenty One Entertainment’s popular retro party – Flashback Jam – on Saturday, August 27th. With megahits like It’s A Pity, These Streets and even her now trending Fifty, the organizers are certain she is an ideal fit for what has become one of St. Maarten’s biggest old-school dancehall sessions.
Stephens has a hectic schedule. She is currently promoting her most recent singles: Diamonds In The Sun, done with Cedella Marley and Diana King, and the aforementioned Fifty, which is a collaboration with Patra; while simultaneously prepping for the release of her eighth studio album – Some Kinda Madness – dropping on September 2nd via Tad’s Record. Accordingly, Tanya has been engaged in an aggressive promo campaign for the last few months, juggling interviews, public appearances, live shows etc.
That said, this Saturday Saint Martiners will be able to go on a musical journey with one of the best songwriters in reggae-dancehall, as she graces the stage at Flashback Jam. Now in its 5th year, the event will be held at the Belair Community Center, where Tanya will be supported by DJ Sheff, DJ Wilson, DJ Fabulous, DJ Tete and Deej Kilo.
