Jamaica’s reggae community is once again in mourning; this time for the passing of Israel Vibration‘s co-founder Cecil ‘Skelly’ Spence. It is being reported that he died at the Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday, August 26th. He apparently succumbed to lung cancer.

Israel Vibration is a roots-reggae trio that rose to prominence in the 70s. The original members are Lascelle ‘Wiss’ Bulgin, Albert ‘Apple Gabriel’ Craig, and Cecil ‘Skelly’ Spence.
