In 2012, hip-hop star Lecrae – who is a native of Houston – elevated the status of Christian rap with his mixtape Church Clothes. Downloaded more than 100,000 times in the first 48 hours, the mix was instrumental in cementing the rapper’s position in two genres: secular and gospel rap.
Fastforward to 2022, and a now established Lecrae, has just released part four of that initial compilation. Church Clothes 4 was published on November 4, 2022, via Reach Records, an imprint which is co-owned by Lecrae. It has a total of 13 songs with several noteworthy collaborations: PJ Morton, Andy Mineo, Nobigdyl, Jordan L’Oreal, Jon Keith, A.I. The Anomaly and WHATUPRG. Click here to check it out.
