Feira Preta – which literally translates to ‘black fair’ – is a Brazilian event started in 2002 to highlight Black creativity. it focuses on everything from Black entrepreneurship to Black lifestyle, and everything in between. This of course includes Black music.
With that said, what started as a small conference years ago is now a month long celebration of being Black. The music portion of the summit – the festival – goes down on December 3rd and 4th, and it features several Black performers, including reggae artist Bushman, who hails from Jamaica.
