Jamaican singer and saxophonist Yishka, who is now based in Florida, has just shared the first official music video from his new album: Windy Day. The video – directed by Loxley Beckford – is for the title track, and it shows clips of Yishka energetically performing the song in various locations in and around Miami. Beckford and the team responsible for the delightful visuals did a masterful job of grabbing our attention with the bright scenes they chose, while Yishka for his part, enthralls us with his simple, yet captivating dance moves.
Windy Day is one of six original tunes featured on the twelve-track instrumental reggae LP, produced by Danny Breakenridge for Upstairs Music. The other six are renditions of popular soul songs: The Melodians‘ Little Nut Tree, Eric Clapton and Babyface‘s Change The World, Boris Gardiner‘s The Beauty Of The Night, David Ruffin‘s Walk Away From Love, Jackie Opel‘s Eternal Love and Bob Thiele and George David Weiss‘ Wonderful World.
Danny Breakenridge was very wise to release this project in time for the holidays, because it would be an amazing gift for any music lover. Stream and/or download Windy Day (the album) from iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and all other streaming platforms.
