Last month, Atlanta hip-hop group Arrested Development dropped a new project called On The Cutting Room Floor (A Mixtape). It has a total of ten tracks, one of which is a De La Soul interlude. Although they have added the words ‘a mixtape’ in the title, this is in fact a studio album; and an amazing one to boot.
As they’ve always done, the group blessed us with well produced and timely music, filled with conscious messages on banging beats. And in May, they will head out on the road to perform songs from this, and earlier LPs. The tour will begin on the 20th at the Q-Factory in Amsterdam, before making its way to the UK, which is where all the other shows will be. Click here for dates, locations and links to tickets.
