Capleton Booked For Sunset Fest In Costa Rica (@capletonmusic)

Costa Rica is launching a brand new music festival this year – Sunset Fest – and they’ve invited only three international performers to join them. Booked for the show are Tito el Bambino, Los Pericos, and Jamaican reggae-dancehall star Capleton.

The aforementioned artists will be supported by several local talents on Saturday, June 10th in Jacó, Puntarenas. Click here for additional information.

Super Cat Will Be In Toronto For “SOS Fest”

Summer of Soca Festival, one of the biggest Caribbean events in Ontario, is all set for August 4th through 6th, at Markham Fairgrounds (10801 Mccowan Road in Markham). It will be massive, with a lineup that includes several trending reggae-dancehall and soca artists; plus one very elusive act.

Super Cat, the Cockburn Pen deejay who achieved widespread popularity in the late 80s and early 90s, is confirmed for SOS. This is a big deal because Cat seldom performs live. The show will also feature Bunji Garlin, Nailah Blackman, Alison Hinds, Wayne Wonder, Olatunji, and many more top-tier performers. Get additional info on their website.

Etana & Others Will Join Fantan Mojah At The ‘Rasta Got Soul Festival’ In Toronto

Veteran reggae artist Fantan Mojah will be taking his Rasta Got Soul message to the GTA on Saturday, June 3rd. He along with Etana, I Noah, Wasp, Hitmaker and Empress Divine will perform at Taj Banquet Hall – 4611 Steeles Ave West – in North York, Ontario.

The live performers will be supported by Chippie Don, Vertex Sound, Gunz N Rozez, Firekid Steenie and Calum Beam International on the turntables.

Little Hero Drops New Video “Badman Round Here” (@Pandemicrecord1)

Last November, while Jamaica was struggling with an inexplicable high murder rate, recording artist Little Hero – in partnership with Pandemic Records – released Badman Round Here, a song penned to accentuate the issue. Regretfully, although violent crimes have since decreased in some parishes, the reality is that it is an ongoing problem.

To that end, Hero and the team at Pandemic Records have just shared the official video for Badman Round Here. Directed by RGM Production, the stunning visuals brings Little Hero‘s words to life with exactitude.

The publishing of the visuals further cements the relationship between Pandemic and the God Alone singer. Collectively they’ve already gotten a #1 song: World Right Now, released in October, 2021. Furthermore, both brands have previously announced that they are working on an album that should be delivered before the end of this year.

Sean Paul, Patrice Roberts, Busta Rhymes & Elephant Man Booked For “Out Of This World Music Fest”

DJ Treasure Music & TasJay Productions Reshare Rad Dixon’s “Missing You” (@rad_dixon @TasJayProd @DJTreasureMusic)

In early 2022 DJ Treasure, the mixtape emperor, released a six-track dancehall compilation called New Phase Riddim. The juggling features Furno, Trejja Don, Mr. Easy, Pamputtae, and the man of the moment, Rad Dixon. Earlier this week, Dixon‘s management team – TasJay Productions – joined forces with DJ Treasure to re-release Rad Dixon‘s tune.

The clever decision was taken in-part because of Dixon‘s current trend within the reggae-dancehall industry. For those not in the know, TasJay Productions kicked off 2023 by publishing Rad Dixon‘s debut album (Hard Times), which has subsequently catapulted the artist to whole new level. To that end, they wanted to re-share the afore-stated single, titled Missing You, since it was never adequately promoted the first time around.

The melodious bright track deals with the reality of losing love ones, an actuality we all have to address at some point in our lives. And it goes without saying that the sensitivity of such a subject matter requires an empathetic voice; this is exactly what Rad Dixon gives us.
